<p>Sister Susan Moran was a member of Our Ladies Missionaries. She joined the staff at St. Michael&#8217;s in 1987 as a special education consultant and assisted in the chaplaincy program.</p>
<p>Her concern for the poor and homeless led to the opening of the &#8220;Out of the Cold&#8221; refuge serving hot meals and donating clothing and groceries to the less fortunate. Her apostolate among the poor and homeless still consumes all her time to the present day.</p>
<p>Sr. Susan was inducted into the Order of St. Michael for her incredible determination to implement such a massive charity program that would feed, shelter, and bring dignity and hope to so many.</p></section>
