A Closer Look: Computer Science & Engineering Robotics

From hands-on learning to real-world practicums that take students out of the classroom, the computer science and engineering robotics programme at St. Michael’s College School (SMCS) provides students with opportunities akin to what they would experience at a university.

The enriched courses offered to Grade 11 and 12 engineering robotics students begin by developing an understanding of the basics of programming, electronics, and robotics, culminating in Grade 12 with a complex capstone project.

SMCS: Science and Engineering

The Grade 11 and 12 computer science courses offer students the ability to gain a solid foundation in computer programming, computer hardware, computer security, and project management. Grade 12 students complete a group capstone project that is delivered using the Agile framework.

This foundation provides our students with an enriched experience that allows them to hit the ground running and achieve success quickly in university programmes requiring skills in computer science and engineering robotics.
