“Sometimes I wonder why I spend countless hours rehearsing and performing in the theatre. Suddenly, a group of children will recognize me on the sidewalk, shout out my character or real name, ask for photos, then part ways with the biggest grin on all our faces. That’s when I’m reminded why. Playing Fester has been the most fun experience in my life. Every show was a new opportunity to improvise, make the audience laugh, and enjoy being the most whimsical person I could think of. I would work on my dances, singing, and weird faces in front of a mirror, and I’m glad the work paid off. The cast, crew, directors, and everyone else who worked on The Addams Family were amazing to work with, and it’s an honour to have had them during my last year here at St. Mike’s.” – Lucas Umali, Grade 12
“Being part of The Addams Family as an ancestor was an unforgettable experience. After rehearsing from November to April, all the hard work and dedication came together on stage. Although the process felt a bit challenging at times, it was all worth it to share the moment with such a talented community. The experience helped me become more confident and present in myself both on and off stage.” – Gavin McAlpine, Grade 11
“The cast and crew were tested with an ambitious schedule of six evening shows and three matinees. Audiences were treated to a macabre, funny, and heartfelt story set in a haunted house where life, death, love, and family are all grave matters. The talented cast and orchestra, supported by a tremendously skilled stage crew, worked together seamlessly to produce a torturously entertaining show for all!” – David Fischer, SMCS Director of Admissions
“The Addams Family musical was one of the best performances we have ever seen at SMCS! The cast and crew put on an incredible show. We weren’t sure if we were watching a SMCS Musical or a Mirvish Production. Bravo!” – Elisabeth Grassby Stefan, SMCS Parent
“The Addams Family was a musical that let me bring out who I truly was. Throughout the process, the community became so strong that it inspired me to be true to my human nature, and I became more and more of who I was through playing my character, which left an impression on who I am today. Just as the lovely cast, crew, orchestra, and directors gave me this long-lasting impression to be myself to the fullest, I try to use it to also ignite the hearts of others to be themselves to the fullest.” – Antony Jesudoss, Grade 11

“The Addams Family was quirky and fun. It had amazing jokes and great musical numbers. The cast delivered committed performances of the well-loved characters.” – Rhonda Hatrick, SMCS Parent
“The Addams Family was my sixth theatrical production at the school, and getting to be a part of it was an incredible experience. The space I have the privilege to work in time and time again blows my mind. The community built through the school’s theatre programme is unlike anything else, and the bonds I have made will last a lifetime. Everyone in the cast and crew clicked together so well, and with the biggest set our theatre has ever seen, it’s no wonder that this musical was the best one yet, and I think many people would agree with me. It’s something that I will truly miss as I go on to university, but I couldn’t be happier that I had the opportunity to perform among my classmates and peers to give the audience a show they wouldn’t forget.” – Paul Karras, Grade 12
“I have been attending and helping with our school performances for nine years, and this was definitely one of my all-time favourites. The level of professionalism and talent from the actors is unbelievable.” – Krysta Davies Foss, SMCS Parents’ Association President
“Absolutely loved The Addams Family musical! Incredible performances, high energy, and so much heart—bravo to the cast and crew and faculty!” – Violetta Webb, SMCS Parent
“Working as the stage manager on The Addams Family is something I’ll carry with me for a long time. I spent most of the show tucked away in the booth, but I had the privilege of watching months of effort slowly turn into something real. Every rehearsal, every adjustment, and every late night built toward those final performances. Calling the last cue was a moment I won’t forget, because it felt like a tapestry of everything we had worked for coming together at once. What stands out most to me is the people: the energy, the care, and the level of talent everyone brought into the theatre every day. Being part of this production was truly life-altering, and it made me appreciate how much can be created when people genuinely love what they do. I will forever be grateful for the opportunities that SMCS has provided me through the Centre for the Arts.” – Marco Boci, Grade 12
“I was blown away by the St. Michael’s College School performance of The Addams Family—this cast is beyond talented, with singing that belongs on TV! America’s and Canada’s Got Talent clearly haven’t met them yet. The hard work shone through, from the choreographer/director to actors, stage crew, orchestra and special effects. Broadway, here they come!” – Daniela Videla, SMCS Parent
