Recapping the First Week of School in Photos

September 12th, 2023

Whether up at camp, the Farm, or right here on campus, the first week of school for St. Michael’s College School (SMCS) students was a success as our community kicked off the new academic year.

As is tradition, our Grades 7 and 9 students arrived at SMCS bright and early to board buses to Camp YMCA Wanakita for a four-day outdoor and experiential education camp run through ALIVE Outdoors. Throughout the week, students and student-leaders explored nature, met their teachers, and made lasting memories.

Later in the week, Grade 8 students had the opportunity to visit Fr. Henry Carr Farm for a full day of community-building activities inside the renovated farmhouse and outdoors around the beautiful property.

Grade 12 students, who did not attend camp as student-leaders, were able to check out the brand-new Grad Lounge, located in the lobby of the Centre for the Arts. The fresh, new space features a variety of high and low tables and soft seating in a range of configurations.
