Hofstatter joined SMCS in 2018 and over the last three years has transformed the Computer Science and Engineering programmes at our school. He has been actively involved in setting up practicum experiences through the Community and Learning Partnerships programme, establishing the Basilian STEM Award, and leading several experiential learning trips with his students.

He was also very active with the co-curricular programme at SMCS, including as a moderator of the VEX Robotics and VEX IQ clubs, supervisor of Grade 11 Service Day, and coach of the Alpine Ski Team.

“Robert has been a great asset to our school community and support to our robotics and engineering programmes,” says Mr. James McKinnon, SMCS Principal. “I am sure he will bring the same passion and capacity to this new opportunity to lead in Catholic education.”

St. Michael’s College School and the Basilian Fathers wish to thank Mr. Hofstatter for his outstanding service to our community and much success in his new leadership position.

Hofstatter will begin his new position on March 1.
