Spanish Club Marks Día de Muertos

What began as a small initiative in October 2021, has grown into one of the most visible and important activities of the year for the St. Michael’s College School Spanish Club.

Día de Muertos, or ‘Day of the Dead,’ is a Mexican holiday dedicated to remembering the deceased and welcoming their souls back to the living world for a celebration. Celebrated on November 1 and 2, an altar is traditionally built in honour of departed loved ones, with ‘ofrendas’ (offerings) displayed.
