Advent in the Courtyard to Welcome Community and Celebrate the Season
With our Christmas Concerts concluded, the St. Michael’s College School (SMCS) community is once again getting ready to celebrate the season together at Advent in the Courtyard.
This year, the annual event will take place December 5 beginning at 5:15 p.m. at SMCS.
Students, parents, and staff are invited to join us for a special Advent prayer service with Fr. Leung, CSB and Fr. May, CSB in the chapel at 6 p.m., followed by seasonal treats and refreshments in the café, and our official tree-lighting ceremony and caroling in the courtyard.
“Advent in the Courtyard is a beautiful tradition which brings our community together to celebrate the birth of our Lord,” says Andrew Kiel ’09, Coordinator of Spiritual Life. “Come with your entire family and support our talented music ministry, enjoy some delicious Christmas treats, and look out for Santa Claus!”
Fr. Leung, with the help of our Student Government president and vice president, will also bless the tree and creche as part of the ceremony.
