SMCS Club BlueNote 2026: A Recap

Club BlueNote returned in spectacular fashion, transforming the St. Michael’s College School (SMCS) cafeteria into a vibrant nightclub, complete with theatrical lighting, a professionally engineered sound system, and an enthusiastic audience of parents, students, and alumni. The evening showcased an impressive range of musical talent from across the SMCS community. Performances by the Junior and Senior Jazz Ensembles set the tone with energetic, polished sets. The Guitar Club brought variety and flair, while Fr. William May, CSB delivered a memorable feature performance that brought the house down.

Adding to the excitement, cast members of The Addams Family offered a lively preview of their upcoming production.

The programme also included expressive piano solos and well-rehearsed small-group performances, each highlighting the depth of musicianship at SMCS.

“Club BlueNote proved once again to be a celebration of creativity, dedication, and community spirit,” says Jamie Oatt, Head of the Music Department. “It was a night that truly demonstrated the remarkable talent flourishing within St. Michael’s College School.”
