Turkey Roll & Reunion 2025 Continues to Welcome Alumni of All Ages

On November 28, 2025, St. Michael’s College School (SMCS) welcomed alumni of all ages back to campus for the beloved Turkey Roll & Reunion, proudly hosted by the SMCS Alumni Association.

The evening began with Mass in the chapel at 6 p.m., offering a moment for reflection before alumni gathered in the gym for a casual drop-in celebration featuring an array of delicious food and exciting turkey spins. The event invites graduates to reconnect, share memories, and revisit the familiar yellow brick halls that shaped their St. Mike’s experience.

This year, the event honoured the milestone classes of 1976 (50 years), 1991 (35 years), 2001 (25 years), and 2016 (10 years). These graduates were recognized with a special reunion class photo and a commemorative pin. The Class of 1985 also held a reunion at Turkey Roll and had a class photo taken.

With over 500 people in attendance, the event is the most prominent on the alumni calendar, welcoming home alumni of all ages, many of whom travel great distances to be part of an evening of nostalgia, camaraderie, and SMCS spirit. Thank you to the many volunteers, sponsors, and all guests who contributed to the evening’s success.

Check out the experience from some of the alumni in attendance:

“Over the past several years, the Turkey Roll has become one of the events I most look forward to. As time seems to accelerate and we see our schoolmates less often, that last Friday in November serves as a welcome reminder of the community that shaped us. It’s always a pleasure to reconnect not only with classmates from my own year, but with fellow St. Mike’s alumni I’ve come to know through both my professional life and personal circles.

I also appreciate the chance to volunteer. It gives some of the older alumni the time and space to truly catch up with friends they may not have seen in years, and playing a small part in that feels meaningful. The Turkey Roll has become a tradition I value deeply, and one I plan to continue attending for many years to come.”

“When friends hear my Friday night was spent at a high school reunion, they automatically assume it’s just my graduating class. I share that it’s all the alumni gathering for a casual night of food, drink and stories and they begin to understand it’s something special. I attended my first Turkey Roll in 2019 and realized it was a mistake waiting so long. Always a pleasure to see the boys of ‘94; that’s why the event is a priority in my calendar.”

“I always look forward to attending the Turkey Roll every year. Not only to connect with my SMCS brothers from my year, who I already see on a regular basis throughout the year, but to meet new, younger and older alumni, to hear their stories of how SMCS inspired them, the brotherhoods they formed, the lives they live, the families they created, and their accomplishments in life to date. It warms my heart and makes me proud of knowing that we all share this place.

Walking the hallways takes me back to a simpler time with memories of my teachers and priests that had such an impact on the person I have become.”

“For the Class of 1985, it was our 40th anniversary, and we did it in style. Fifty-four of us gathered in the gym, and it was as much a family reunion as it was a school reunion.

Handshakes were replaced with hugs, and the mood was as electric as it was sentimental. Seeing all our other SMCS brothers from so many different eras truly was inspiring. Our class took the celebration to the Gatherings Restobar until far into the morning. Thank you, St. Mike’s. We will always appreciate what you have given us.”

“Again, another successful Turkey Roll gathering. Good to see new and old faces. I can never forget someone telling me, ‘When you send your boy to St. Mike’s, you will have friends for life.’ Truly evident on November 28, 2025. Thanks to all those who continue to make it a memorable event.”

“This year’s Turkey Roll was a great night. It was my son’s first. He just graduated and was amazed to see all the alumni come back. What a wonderful show of support. Alumni came together, enjoyed excellent food from Zito’s, Nodo, and J.K. Overweel, and saw teachers and students getting along for once. Lol. Most of all, it was about sharing memories, celebrating tradition, and keeping the spirit of SMCS community alive. Most importantly, preparing us for the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ.”
