SMCSPA Job Descriptions

The St. Michael’s College School Parents’ Association (SMCSPA) welcomes parents and guardians to take on executive and committee roles to help organize sponsored events, coordinate volunteers, and discuss important school-related topics on a regular basis.

Joining a committee enables you to influence and participate in various aspects of the school. All committees welcome new members. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our Parents’ Association at

Core Executive


  • Elected members of the SMCSPA and either function as Committee Chairperson or have no portfolios
  • If no portfolio, members-at-large assist with events/projects when asked by the president
  • If chairing a committee, a report is presented at monthly SMCSPA Executive meetings as needed

Time Commitment: Attend all SMCSPA monthly meetings and as required.


The following committees meet outside of the SMCSPA Executive meetings to organize, report, and execute events as required.
