Class of 1984 Bursary

The Class of 1984 has been meeting annually for dinner since 1988 and in 2001, through a class survey, unanimously decided to establish a class bursary. Through donations, the Bursary was endowed in 2004.

This entrance bursary was established to assist a student with a financial need and a high academic standard to attend St. Michael’s. This award will be given to one student for a maximum of four years provided he maintains the following criteria requirements: the financial need continues, and he maintains a good academic standing. This Bursary will be for a minimum of $1,000 for each academic year (Grade 9 through 12) that the student continues to qualify.

The Bursary currently has a balance of just over $138,000 and is paying approximately $5,500 annually, though for 2024 the amount will be increased to $8,000.

A challenge has been issued to increase the amount by $17,000 to reach an invested principal amount of $155,000.

Help us get there! The more funds raised will ultimately increase the annual award and will benefit future St. Michael’s men!

Please help us reach this goal by donating today!
