Mr. Philip (Phil) Wilson is a lifelong Catholic educator with more than 25 years of experience across four dioceses as a teacher, school principal, superintendent, and system leader.

He began his career in 1999 as an elementary school teacher with the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board (DPCDSB), teaching at Bishop Scalabrini, Our Lady of Peace, and St. Luke Catholic Elementary Schools. Wilson moved to the Peel District School Board in 2007, where he served as Vice Principal at Dunrankin Drive Public School and Applewood School, and later as Principal at McBride Avenue Public School and then Dolphin Senior Public School.

In 2018, Wilson returned to the DPCDSB as principal of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Elementary School. Wilson was appointed Superintendent of Education with the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board (BHNCDSB) in 2022, where he provided system-level leadership in student achievement, special education, equity and inclusion, faith formation, co-curricular programming, and complex operational matters.

In March 2026, Mr. Wilson was announced as the 32nd Principal of St. Michael’s College School, with his tenure beginning in August 2026.
