A Week of Remembering

From daily prayers to a special address from an alumnus, Remembrance Week at St. Michael’s College School (SMCS) was filled with meaningful events that brought our soldiers’ sacrifices to the forefront.

This year’s Remembrance Week included morning prayers highlighting the contributions of Indigenous soldiers, the Dieppe Raid, and the work of the True Patriot Love Foundation. Check out some of the videos below:

On November 10, SMCS held its annual Wear Red for Heroes Day in support of the True Patriot Love Foundation. Staff and students were encouraged to donate a minimum of $5 with a goal of raising $5,000 in total for the worthy cause.

Students from Grades 7 to 10 were also invited to add a large, decorative poppy to the Students’ Entrance Arch throughout the week.

On November 11, our Remembrance Day service featured an address from Capt. Todd Stewart ’12 as well as reflections on the 80th anniversary of the Dieppe Raid.
