Being the Best for the World: New Inspiring Young Alumni Recognized
The St. Michael’s College School (SMCS) community is excited to introduce the newest group of alumni who are featured on our Inspiring Young Alumni Wall.
Situated prominently in our main hallway across from the main office, our Inspiring Young Alumni Wall is among the first things visitors see upon arriving at SMCS. It features photos and brief bios of over 20 diverse and accomplished alumni under 35 who are making a difference and being the best for the world.
“The wall of Inspiring Young Alumni shares with our prospective candidates and their families the wide range of vocations that our graduates pursue,” says David Fischer, Director of Admissions. “From business to medicine, research to technology, entrepreneurship to engineering, our graduates distinguish themselves with their commitment to excellence in a variety of fields. Whether serving in the military, playing professional sports, building businesses, or preparing for the priesthood our graduates are committed to being the best for the world. As our prospective families tour our school, we share these stories with them. We hope that these stories of goodness, discipline, and knowledge inspire the next generation of graduates in their embrace of a St. Michael’s College School education.”
The wall displays alumni from the graduation years ranging from 2005 to 2021. They have been recognized as unique achievers within their chosen field and have made ground-breaking strives in their industries and continue to work towards being the very best for the world. In the future, the new members of the wall will also be featured on exterior banners on the school’s front lawn.
“The Inspiring Young Alumni Wall shows the current SMCS students that anything is possible. The diversity in the jobs, roles, and studies of this incredible group of young men is a testament to the alumni as a whole,” says Andrew Gidaro ’02, Alumni Association President. “The Alumni Association hopes this wall inspires current students and recent graduates to achieve great things. The education and experience at St. Michael’s sets the course for all alumni to achieve great things wherever their passion, drive, and imagination takes them. This journey to success at St. Michael’s does not end in graduation but continues with the support and mentorship of the many successful alumni in the professional world.”
The Inspiring Young Alumni Wall initiative was first installed in 2019, with this newest version marking its first major update. The plan is to revisit the wall and complimentary banners that adorn the school’s front lawn every three years.
The wall serves as a reminder to the current students, that success comes in different forms and in unexpected places. For former, current, and future SMCS students and families, the display serves as an illustration of our vision of graduating young men who will change the world coming to fruition.
Together these alumni serve as a small, but impactful cross-section of the benefits and lasting impact of a SMCS education.
