SMCS Alumni Association Connects Past With Present
Our Alumni Relations Office, under the guidance of the Office of Advancement, is the first point of contact between the alumni and St. Michael’s College School (SMCS). It offers the chance to reconnect with the school and fellow alumni.
With more than 11,000 members, residing in more than 30 countries, the Alumni Relations Office is committed to engaging and fostering the growth of life-long relationships with alumni through communications, events, mentoring, networking opportunities, and much more.
The Alumni Relations Office works closely with the Alumni Association and its executives to ensure that with our alumni’s assistance, the tradition, history, and future of the College School is continued.
Alumni are kept informed about events, mentoring and networking opportunities, learning initiatives, and other SMCS-themed experiences through regular e-newsletters, social media platforms, and other communications channels.
Alumni are regularly invited back to visit SMCS in person! Annual events – including Homecoming, Spring Reunion and Barbeque, class reunions, golf tournaments, the Turkey Roll, and the alumni old-timers’ hockey league – make consistent face-to-face contact possible, fun, and memorable.
If you have any suggestions, questions, concerns, or want to share your stories with us, please do not hesitate to contact us at alumni@smcsmail.com.

Alumni Association
Our alumni are a vital component of the community and an important part of the tradition and future of St. Michael’s College School. Alumni further the mission and vision they learned while attending SMCS by setting examples for current students through giving back to the school community, charity outreach, their education and career choices, and by being an inspiring presence around our campus.

Mentorship Programme
The alumni mentorship programme is a pillar at St. Michael’s. It connects alumni of all ages and offers the opportunity to discuss important educational and career-related questions with university students and professionals. The purpose of this initiative is to set the foundation of mentorship for life. The Alumni Association hosts career mentoring and networking events for university students and SMCS alumni, and general networking events were alumni network with others in similar fields of pursuit.
In addition to alumni to alumni mentorship, alumni are also invited to participate in the annual Career Day when a wide range of alumni share their academic, professional, and life experiences with Grade 11 students to help current students to explore different paths taken by alumni in a variety of professions. As well, members of the Alumni Association are welcomed into the Grade 12 homerooms to learn about the value of the association and the importance of staying connected to St. Michael’s College School after graduation.
Alumni Publications
Staying up-to-date with SMCS and your fellow graduates is simple with our two dedicated alumni publications.
Our Blue Banner, our bi-annual alumni magazine, has been keeping alumni connected since 1945. By reflecting the history, accomplishments, and stories of our school’s graduates, the Blue Banner promotes collegiality, respect, and Christian values under the direction of the Basilian Fathers.
The Tradition, our quarterly e-newsletter, supports the Blue Banner by keeping our alumni informed on upcoming events, mentorship opportunities, special community announcements, and more.
The SMCS Alumni University Chapters programme is an opportunity for SMCS alumni to stay connected, even while away at school
Connect with fellow SMCS alumni on your campus, network, and join a familiar SMCS community of friends as you transition from high school to university and into the workforce.
Led by students in their senior years of university, University Chapters will offer engaging campus events, activities, networking, mentorship opportunities, and more.
If you’re interested in joining the programme at your university, please sign up here.
