Retiring Faculty and Staff:
Irene Dankowycz After 22 years of teaching at the school, Mrs. Dankowycz retired at the end of last academic year. Her dedication to student success in math was exceptional, and she was often found assisting students after school, and ran the Math Club for many years. She preferred assisting ‘behind the scenes’ and could be found helping students backstage at the school’s plays and musicals with their costumes and calming their nerves. She encouraged students to put their best foot forward, and we thank her for all she has done with SMCS. | |
Anita Zawadzki After 13 years at the school, working in the library as a Library Technician, Ms. Zawadzki has retired. During her years of service, Ms. Zawadzki worked closely with the library team to inspire a love of reading among our students. She was involved in organizing the annual Reading Olympics, book displays, and assisting students in using the library. Part of her role was behind the scenes, such as preparing and updating the ARP system and using other databases to keep the library organized. Ms. Zawadzki has been instrumental in transforming the Odette Library into a true Learning Commons where students can collaborate and access a wide range of texts and digital resources. |
